Back in the 1940’s a doctor in Thailand decided to transform his village from Ban Kok Sa-Nga, Thailand to King Cobra Village to attract tourists.

It worked so well the villagers have since adopted snakes into their daily life. Every one of the village’s households have at least one cobra or python.

One any given day, tourists can attend crazy snake shows of every variety, or just go door to door and hang out with one of the villager’s family cobras.

Not ironically, the villagers also make a pretty penny selling an herb called ‘wan paya ngoo’, which is mixed with lime to treat snake bites.
