You could say Ed Gein had Hollywood connections back in the 1950’s. He was the inspiration for Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Silence of the Lambs. Despite his movie star good looks, Gein wasn’t an actor, writer or producer — he was more like a subject matter expert.

Police stormed Gein’s Wisconsin farmhouse in 1957 and arrested him for the murder of a local hardware store owner. After searching the premises, they discovered Gein had other hobbies besides murder, namely arts and crafts and grave robbing.

Stashed in shoes boxes, authorities found noses, vulvae, skull bowls, nipple belts and of course 100% genuine human skin gloves.  Still looking for that special Christmas gift for Mom?
