A fire tornado just sounds wicked, like super volcano. These weather phenomena, also known as fire devils, are extremely rare. They are deadly too. In 1923, 38,000 Japanese were incinerated within 15 minutes by this bad boy.

Luckily, the devil Chris Tangey recently caught in the Outback was doing photo ops instead of roasting Aussies.  The brave film maker said it sounded like a jet.  “I saw a red tornado, a black one, a white one, and several made of pure fire.”

Hmmm. Chris stood a stone’s throw away from multiple fire tornadoes and he decided to….film it. This guy wins our cool dumbass award.
Here’s a tip Mr. Tangley: You can find Fire devils all day long during the annual Burning Man festival in Nevada‘s Black Rock Desert.
